RCT Cabinet have just met regarding the Lido and the plans to remove the current paddling pool. They are fully behind the plans. Apparently they say there was overwhelming public support for the proposals. Must have been talking to different people to us. Yes many people would like to see the Lido renovated but most thought they would be keeping the paddling pool too, after all Russell Roberts did promise on behalf of the Labour group that they would.

No two ways about it, he lied. It will be interesting now to see what Owen Smith has to say about it all. After all he announced he was 'delighted' when Russell put out his deliberately misleaduing press release. Obviously they lie to each other within the Labour party too.

Owen is holding a public meeting at 5.30 on 31st July at the YMCA in Pontypridd to discuss the regeneration of the town. This is a major part of that.
