Labour fail again - this time on employment

August 29, 2012 9:50 PM

Wales Online reports a significant rise on the number of households where no-one is in work.

'The number of households in Wales without work is significantly higher than the UK average, according to figures from the office of National Statistics.

Figures show a steep rise from last year, from 19.7% to 21.6%, meaning 216,000 households now have no one in employment. This compares to a UK total of 17.9% - which has actually fallen by 0.8% from last year.'

So much for Labour's false promises to 'protect' Wales from the 'savage cuts' they repeatedly kept on about during the Assembly elections. The Welsh Labour Government haven't a clue - they have been in power alone or in coalition for thirteen years now, the same length of time that their party ruled in Westminster. Both Governments have failed this country miserably.

So keen were voters in last May and the previous year to take up Labour's suggestion to send a message to Cameron and Clegg that they forgot the message they were giving Labour - that it was ok to carry on as before and do absolutely nothing to improve life for people in Wales.
