Cynon Valley Labour MP blasts colleagues over NHS failings

February 12, 2017 10:00 AM

Cynon Valley MP Ann Clwyd has once again publicly blasted the NHS in Wales - this time over the waiting times for diagnostic teste.

As reported by Wales Online, Mrs Clwyd said

"The litmus test for any government is the way in which it responds to the needs of the sick and the vulnerable. On that basis, the Welsh Government clearly has to get to grips with the situation and do so as a matter of urgency."

Health is of course a devolved matter, and is under the control of the Labour led Welsh Government. Welsh Liberal Democrat Councillor Mike Powell said

"This is not the first time Ann Clwyd has hit the nail on the head over the state of the health service in Wales.

"It is a pity that her colleagues in Government in Cardiff Bay cannot take their heads out of the sand and acknowledge the fact that we have huge problems here in Wales and until they admit they exist then they cannot hope to even attempt to solve them."
