Lib Dems demand more money for education

May 16, 2017 2:00 PM

Although education is devolved, Conservative cuts to education in England will have knock on effects here.

Liberal Democrats at Westminster and in the Welsh Assembly ensured extra money was given to schools to help all children achieve their best via the pupil premium / pupil deprivation grant which gives extra money direct to schools for every child on free school meals.

As a result of this £23m extra has come to RCT schools over the past five years and we want this to continue.

On top of this Lib Dems in government would invest £7bn in schools to protect funding per pupil.

This will mean millions of pounds more for Wales to help improve our children's education and give them the best possible start in life.
