March 3, 2020 8:46 PM

Layla outside Ponty parkRhondda Cynon Taff Liberal Democrats were pleased to receive a visit last week from Lib Dem MP Layla Moran. Layla was kind enough to take a couple of hours out of her busy schedule to come and see the impact that the recent flooding has had in Pontypridd. We visited some local businesses that have been struggling to get back on their feet and would like to thank all the people that took the time to talk to us. It was eye opening to see how much unseen effort is going on to keep the high street running. Heavy rain is continuing to hit our area hard and there will be more challenges ahead. Please do help the town by continuing to use the local businesses and show understanding for the staff who are working hard under difficult conditions. Some highlighted the issue of parking charges that apply to the town centre and RCT Liberal Democrats would like to join calls for these to be removed in order to help the town get back on its feet
